Sofia, Bulgaria, September 11, 2024 - X-Pert Multimedia Solutions, a broadcast software and service provider, has been selected to equip Burundian Radio and TV Buntu with its advanced media solutions. The television, located in Buye, Ngozi province, is automizing its broadcast process with X-Pert Channel-in-a-Box and X-Pert Ingest. The project is implemented in partnership with Periactes Broadcast Solutions.

XX-Pert Channel-in-a-Box is an all-in-one bundle that includes Playout, Graphics, and Ingest. It integrates all the elements needed to keep a channel on air by combining automation, playout, and interactive graphics.
X-Pert Playout is a playout automation software, suitable for broadcast organizations of any size. It is available in UHD/HD/SD, SDI, or IP and secures operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It supports SRT on both the encoding and decoding sides, and Intel QSV hardware-accelerated MPEG2/H264/HEVC decoding and MPEG2/H264/HEVC encoding. Other key features to mention are: SCTE35 triggers reading and generation over IP UDP transport stream, SCTE104 triggers reading and generation over SDI outputs (Decklink, AJA, Deltacast), MPEG DASH dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP output, etc. Music and movie channels can be 100% automated and work without human interaction.
X-Pert Playout was succeeded by Atrio, the playout solution introduced at BroadcastAsia 2023. Atrio is a leading-edge playout solution, developed on top of the X-Pert Playout experience and functionalities. As its predecessor it guarantees a fully automated broadcasting playout process, but in a revamped manner. Atrio has a next-gen interface, characterized by extreme flexibility and simplicity for improved customer experience and with reduced usage of system resources. The brand-new scheduled playlist business logic provides flexible functionalities that improve the automation systems’ integrations and help the operators in their daily routine of broadcasting content. Atrio comes bundled with Multi-Monitor for a better preview of the received live feed that can be played on air. It is delivered through the convenience of a subscription pricing model.
X-Pert Graphics is a sophisticated, yet extremely user-friendly on-air CG and graphics manager. It lets you create different static or dynamic objects such as rolls, crawls, multi-layered simultaneous still pictures, analog, and digital clocks, animated logos, etc., and save them in projects. Those could easily be used for direct broadcasting or as customized templates for future use. In addition, the application has a built-in Scheduler that lets you start objects from a previously created project(s) at different times.
X-Pert Ingest enables multiple channels with HD or SD content to be captured simultaneously from HD/SD SDI digital feeds, analog sources, and MPEG transport streams. Four video sources can be monitored or ingested on a single screen and controlled via a new streamlined user interface. Audio levels are represented as loudness or true-peak displays and adjusted when required. X-Pert Ingest already supports SRT. Its features include IP RTMP/HLS/RTSP/MPEG-2 DASH stream source, NVidia GPU hardware acceleration for H264/HEVC encoding content and IP feeds, and Intel CPU/GPU hardware acceleration for H264/HEVC encoding content.
